How long have you been working with Heartland Reps, and where do you live in the territory? I’ve worked at Heartland Reps since June 1 of this year, so almost 6 months. I live outside of Wentzville, MO.
What do you like the most about where you live? I enjoy living in the country on almost 10 acres. We have cows, pigs, and chickens that keeps us busy.
What's your job role or responsibilities with Heartland Reps? My title is Service Coordinator. I coordinate all service calls and follow up to make sure service gets completed. I also support Melissa by getting lead times on equipment, freight quotes, and check ETA’s on orders.
Do you have a favorite part about that role? I enjoy the different people I get to work with, and the relationships that I am building with people on both sides- the manufacturers and the sales groups. I also enjoy building relationships with my fellow coworkers since I am fairly new to the company.
How did you land in the foodservice industry? I’ve been passionate about food since I was born!
Where do you think the industry is headed? I feel like there is a lot of growth ahead. Covid has changed the industry but it has also opened the door to new opportunities to develop.
There's a lot of famous BBQ in Heartland's territory, do you have a favorite? My favorite is a little BBQ place in Wentzville called Duke’s BBQ. My go-to order is brisket.
What show are you binging right now? Too busy and too tired! Every time I try to watch a show I fall asleep.
Slaw or beans? Both, why limit yourself!
Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate
Do you cook at home? My kids are constantly hungry. Most nights we have 2 dinners, before and after practices and games. I cook A LOT!
What's your favorite home kitchen tool or device? May be an unpopular opinion, but I use my air fryer almost every day. I make everything in it, not just frozen foods!
Anything else we should know about you? I have 3 girls ages 15, 13, and 11 that are involved in all kinds of sports and activities. We have livestock that my kids show throughout the year and especially during the summer. In our free time, we like to head to the beach and also to the mountains to ski!
