If there's one thing that sets Heartland Reps apart as a company, it's the people who make up our team. We strive to build a culture that focuses on customer service, industry experience, and frankly, people you'd love to grab a beer or glass of wine with.

While we can't buy a round for everyone in our area, we can shine a spotlight on the passionate people behind Heartland Reps. To kick off our employee spotlight, we're introducing you to Michele Cohen.

MEET MICHELE

Michele Cohen is a recent addition to the Heartland Reps team. She worked for Performance Food Group and Ford Hotel Supply over the past seventeen years. Michele is an outside sales Territory Manager calling on dealers, end-users, and K-12 school foodservice directors in the St. Louis Territory.

We chatted with Michele to learn a little bit more about her background, her role at Heartland, and her love for the foodservice industry.

How long have you been working with Heartland Reps? I just joined the Heartland team in February of 2021.

What are your job roles or responsibilities with Heartland Reps? I am an outside rep for Heartland. I call on the customers and love helping them find the best solutions for their business.

Do you have a favorite part about that role? My favorite part is definitely the people. When you can help a customer find solutions and expand their business it is amazing!

What do you like the most about where you live? With the attractions and the food scene that we have here, we have such a variety of the best entertainment, concert venues, and restaurants.

Why the foodservice industry? I fell in love with the foodservice industry when I was young. I have been involved in so many aspects from serving, operations, a dealer consultant, food rep, and now factory rep.

There's a lot of famous BBQ in Heartland's territory. Do you have a favorite? What's your go-to order? I think Salt & Smoke is probably my favorite.

Slaw or beans? Slaw.

Sweet tea or pop? Neither, unsweetened tea.

Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate for sure!

Do you cook at home? What's your favorite home kitchen tool or device? I love to cook, I don’t have a favorite tool though it depends on what I’m cooking.

Anything else we should know about you? I have an incredible daughter that I am so proud of!

Just like Michele, our team is always eager to listen to your challenges and propose innovative foodservice solutions. Get your free foodservice assessment today from the Heartland team today!
